As a retired elementary librarian, I found ways to connect with readers through storytelling. Dressed as a Fairy Godmother or in a historical costume from the 1850s, telling tales in the oral tradition has become a passion. In the Reading Council, I am the project leader for Books for Babies. Promoting VSLA’s Virginia Reader Choice, I support the Reading Council’s Literature RoundTable to encourage the use of the books in elementary schools.
